LaMont Jones, Jr., is founder, president, and chief executive officer of Pneuma Publishing International. He is also an award-winning veteran journalist and an in-demand public speaker for public and private secular and religious events.

Mr. Jones is a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Pittsburgh's historic Hill District. A fourth-generation Baptist minister, he is a 2004 Master of Arts in Theology graduate of Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, where he served as president of the Black Seminarians Association and placed among the top five in the 2003 national homiletics competition sponsored by the Michigan-based Acton Institute for the Study of Religion and Liberty.

A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, he grew up in Lexington, Ky., and graduated in 1984 from Owensboro High School with numerous honors, among them "Best Leadership" and "Most Likely To Succeed" among male seniors. He was named Owensboro's Teenager of the Year and was honored as a "Young Leader of Tomorrow" at the American Academy of Achievement's annual Banquet of the Golden Plate. He attended Western Kentucky University on numerous scholarships, graduating in 1988 with a bachelor's degree in journalism and government. He was named to The National Dean's List, Outstanding Young Men of America, Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership Honor Society, and Pi Sigma Alpha National Political Science Honor Society. He was named one of Pittsburgh's "Top 40 Under 40" people to watch by Pittsburgh Magazine and the Pittsburgh Urban Magnet Project in 2001. In 2003, he was named to the New Pittsburgh Courier's inaugural lists of "50 Men of Influence" and "Fab 40" young rising stars under the age of 40. He was recognized with a proclamation by Pittsburgh City Council in February 2005 and was named the "Trailblazer in Media" at Pittsburgh's 21st annual Black Extravaganza and Trailblazer Awards in March 2006.
